The Marine Industry: Navigating the Gulf of Guinea

EI&PS serves as a vital technical partner for ship owners operating in the West African waters. We support by providing lifecycle maintenance for the 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines that power container giants, VLCCs, and offshore support vessels (OSVs). by offering OEM-standard overhauls, turbocharger servicing, and emergency field support in major ports like Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Tema.

Medium-speed 4-stroke engines are the versatile workhorses of the maritime world, serving as the primary propulsion for cruise ships, ferries, and tugs, and as the critical “Auxiliary Gensets” for the global merchant fleet. At EI&PS, we recognize that while these engines are smaller than their 2-stroke counterparts, their maintenance requirements are often more intensive due to higher RPMs and complex valve gear arrangements.

We provide world-class support for the industry’s most reliable 4-stroke platforms, including MAN B&W (......) Wärtsilä (20, 31, 32, 46DF), Caterpillar MaK (M25, M32, M43), and Yanmar (EY series). Our approach to 4-stroke maintenance is centered on Time Between Overhauls (TBO) Maximization. By focusing on the health of cylinder heads, turbocharger matching, and governor precision, we help operators extend the intervals between major interventions. For our Bergen and Himsun clients, we offer specialized field service that covers everything from bottom-end bearing inspections to the overhaul of sophisticated common-rail fuel systems.

Industrial Power Solutions

EI&PS is the partner of choice for Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and large-scale manufacturing facilities. We specialize in the high-efficiency gas engines—such as Jenbacher, Wärtsilä, Waukesha and MWM—that form the backbone of these "Power Blocks. We provide the technical manpower for "zero-hour" overhauls and predictive diagnostics, ensuring that factory floors remain powered 24/7. Our expertise in Combined Heat and Power (CHP) allows industrial clients to maximize their fuel efficiency, turning waste heat into process steam and drastically reducing their carbon footprint.
